Peace and Justice Education Fund

Rooted in the enduring legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Peace and Justice Education Fund carries forward a vision of nonviolence, dignity, and healing — even under the daily realities of Occupation in the West Bank.

For the second year in a row, House of Hope is uniting with our global circle of Peace Builders to raise $40,000. Last year, your generosity brought our new Peace and Justice Curriculum into classrooms, gave life to the Our Rights as Children music video created by our choir, and expanded our Family Peace and Justice Education Program.

This year, we rise again. The $40,000 we raise in 2025 will:

  • $30,000: Continue delivering the Peace and Justice Curriculum in classrooms, helping children heal from trauma and learn nonviolent communication.
  • $10,000: Expand the Family Peace and Justice Education Program to House of Hope and two additional schools, so more families can become circles of peace.

At House of Hope, education is more than academics. It is trauma-informed, creative, and rooted in dignity. Peace and Justice Education equips children to claim their rights, find resilience in the face of Occupation, and imagine a more just future.

What is Peace and Justice Education?

"Living under oppression without human rights and freedom leads our kids to trauma, depression, and violence. Learning to live together has become increasingly important. Fear of the other and the rising of violence, hate, antagonism, and revenge are causing societies to fracture from within. In our school, we teach empathy and compassion for the other. These qualities can be taught and nurtured. Education is the key and peace education is preventive action. It can help our kids deal with trauma, manage and address conflict, and build a dialogue of process. Peace and justice education can reduce hate, violence, and discrimination. It can build a life of culture, peace, and justice.”
